Being somebody who has failed spectacularly and regularly, I can identify with the subject. When I think back to the man I was at 22, before I had my first failure - business and marital at the same time, one leading to the other - I think I was a much better man afterward. I've learned very little from the successes in my life. I've learned everything from the failures.

Your post makes one think... failure is something we can suffer through no fault of our own....like the banks etc....and I feel it is sad to think that Conan or anyone could quit a job and come out with forty million while so many, many people have no jobs, no homes, no food....failure sure did work for him.... judy

It's funny because we are taught so early in life with a teacher's pen ticking and crossing our efforts that getting everything right and not making mistakes and failing is what we all need to do. I think failure is an inevitable part of the journey and we learn all the better for it...so it should, indeed, be celebrated!
